چکیده

Background: Ranking third in the cause of death structure, venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a frequent complication patients with central nervous system tumors. Objective: To assess incidence thrombosis and its risk factors glioma based on retrospective data. Methods: Our study included 186 from Neurosurgery Department Almazov National Medical Research Centre. Results: The VTE was 8% brain neoplasms. Comparative analysis 2 groups to identify predictors showed that probability increases leading patient immobilization: altered mental status (40% [n = 6] group vs 18% 30] non-VTE group, OR: 3.1 [95% СI: 0.8–10.6], P .080), neurological deficit (67% 50] 29% 10], 4.8 1.4–18.7], .007), bed rest for more than 3 days (33% 4%, 13.1 2.7–62.8], < .001). Based validation results, Caprini IMPROVEDD scores have high negative predictive values: 0.99 0.93–1.00] 0.97 0.93–0.99] (P .317). score has specificity 48.2% sensitivity 93.3% (AUC 78.98); threshold value high-risk detection 5.5 points. 82.5% 73.3% 81.1); 4.5 points. Conclusion: revealed patients, such as deficit, prolonged (more days), high-grade tumor. We demonstrated values determined their be validated further prospective study. Due risks hemorrhage tumors, personalized calculators should developed, providing features pathogenesis this group. Risk factors for venous thromboembolism.

Until the 1990s, venous thromboembolism (VTE) was viewed primarily as a complication of hospitalization for major surgery (or associated with the late stage of terminal illness). However, recent trials in patients hospitalized with a wide variety of acute medical illnesses have demonstrated a risk of VTE in medical patients comparable with that seen after major general surgery. In addition, epi...

Risk factors for venous thromboembolism.

Risk factors for venous thromboembolism (VTE) are often modifiable and overlap with risk factors for coronary artery disease. Encouraging our patients to adopt a heart-healthy lifestyle by abstaining from cigarettes, maintaining lean weight, limiting red meat intake, and controlling hypertension might lower the risk of pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis (DVT), although a cause-effect r...

Identifying risk factors for venous thromboembolism.

Our understanding of risk factors associated with the development of venous thromboembolism (VTE) has increased steadily over the past 20 years. In the 1980s, the development of VTE was conceptualized in the context of the factors in Virchow’s classic triad that he believed led to venous thrombosis. These factors were injury to the endothelium, alteration in blood flow (particularly stasis/immo...

Acquired risk factors of venous thromboembolism in medical patients.

Acute venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a serious and potentially fatal disorder, which often complicates the course of hospitalized patients, but may also affect ambulatory and otherwise healthy people. While the introduction of thromboprophylactic measures has most likely affected the present occurrence of postoperative VTE, there is an increasing awareness of the importance of medical conditio...
